This early 1950s zip-front men’s jacket in mocha rayon gabardine has a windowpane pattern in warm brown and aqua. The jacket has large shoulder pads, buttons and tabs to adjust the width of the sleeves, shirring at each side of the waist, and a brass-colored metal front zipper. Its best feature, however, are the 2 bellows-style patch pockets with flaps, with additional slit pockets set into them. In good, wearable condition, the jacket has several issues. The jacket is lined with gold rayon satin, which has several worn places, most noticeably a section at one shoulder, and another near the back hem (both on the right side, when worn). The inside edge of the collar has some discoloration. Finally, each sleeve has one small spot: a dark one on the inner side of the right sleeve, and a lighter mark on the back of the left sleeve. I have tried to photograph all of these issues, which should not be noticed when this zip-front casual rayon gab 1950s jacket is worn.
