The black on this bag is so rich and deep, it took me a bit to figure out that it is suede; I thought it was velvet at first, but rather it's a super short pile suede! Made for the B. Forman Department Store in Rochester, NY (which is sadly now gone) in England, this is a large lined pouch style evening bag on the surface but it'd transition beautifully into a daytime bag. The straps are long enough that you could wear it on the shoulder, but I think it is best worn over the arm on held to show off the super chic styling of this mid century gem. It is party ready: a night out, wedding, fabulous soiree... and best of all, your phone will fit in it!!

~CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition. This bag was treated with a lot of care in its' previous life. I believe it to be from the 50's, and the amount of wear to it is less than you would think: the goldtone hardware shows some wear, and the cinch at the top of the straps is just the slightest bit flattened where it rubbed on the arm or shoulder. I went ahead and gave it some love by brushing the suede and wiped down the inside to prepare it for its' fabulous next stop in life.
