50s Black Straw Shallow Crown Circle Wide Brim Hat
Striking black wide brim hat from the early 1950's.
Shallow crown is indented and wrapped in a black velvet hatband with a clear rhinestone V for victory brooch.
Brim is circular and flat.
Interior is finished with a black petersham ribbon.
As for the condition, I do think the hatband is a replacement. The interior ribbon is worn. I had to remove the remains of an elastic placement band but a new one will be included.
No label.
Interior circumference is 21 inches. Crown rises 1 1/2 inches. Brim extends 3 1/2 inches in the front and sides, 2 1/2 inches in the back.
