1950's wide brim hat with the open crown. Body is a narrow weave black straw with a wide grosgrain ribbon for the hatband. Interior is finished with the standard grosgrain ribbon.Very good condition with only the hatband showing some age.Label is Evelyn Varon who was a French milliner between 1920 and 1970. She was known for her high quality designs.Inner circumference is 20 inches. Crown has a front rise of 3 1/2 inches, front brim extends 6 inches, sides extend 5 inches and the back is 2 inches.
