This item is sold from an excellent, highly rated vintage boutique in Roanoke, Virginia.
Early 1950's black rayon fringed party dress. Front has a plain princess seamed bodice with a round neckline and 3/4 length dolman sleeves. Back bodice has a 3 loop and button closing at the neckline and open down midway where a metal zipper starts. The hip area is covered in black fringe, front and back. This is a very heavy dress completely lined all but the sleeves. Color is a deep flat black. The photos have been lightened to show detail.
Excellent condition.
Label is Nathan Strong. The Nathan Strong label was a joint venture by Robert Strong and Morris Nathan formed in 1945. August de Lorenzo was the chief designer in the 1950's. Label was known for fabulous cocktail dress.
No size is indicated so please check the measurements carefully. There is no give to this fabric.
