Vintage 50s Black Skirt and New Look Jacket Suit
Has The Coat and Suit Industry National Recovery Board label that was seen from the mid-1930s into the 1960s.

Hard woven wool silk with satin trim - Heavy material typical of vintage suits.
Belt back jacket is fully lined in rayon. Padded shoulder area. Sleeves can be cuffed also. Silk covered buttons. Very shallow pockets. No inner label regarding size.

Approx 38 27 40 - Approx Modern S/M - Model is 5'10" US S/4
Jacket is 23" long. Measures 20" across from underarm to underarm when laid flat. Doubles to 40" around but allowing for movement and thickness of material/lining a 38" bust seems appropriate. Waist of jacket is 14. 5" across. Hem of jacket measures 20" across. 17" shoulders. Sleeves are 25" long from shoulder.
Skirt has 27" waist, 40" hip, 27. 5" long. Has metal zipper and button closure. Skirt has no lining.
Nice condition - no flaws noted.
