1950s Black Curvette Calot Hat - 1950s Black Cocktail Hat - 1950s Black Half Hat - 1950s Black Hat with Gold Beads - 1950s Tassel Hat

Professional construction from the Esther Welch label, done in a black wool felt featuring black velvet details, gold pearl beading, a gold metallic coil and a fringe tassel. The hat is styled as a corvette or calot half hat style with a unique small dome detail at the front, slightly off center. The top is covered in a black velvet star and trimmed around the outer edge with soutache. There is a a gold metallic thread coiled with the gold faux petite pearls around the outer ring. The fringe tassel hangs from the center of the coil. The front outer edge of the hat is trimmed to the back corners in a black velvet cord. The hat has beautiful structure with all original blocking and tucks have been retained.

Condition is listed as very good plus, I note some minor marks to the black velvet star and hints of handling. The wool felt foundation has zero damage, zero discoloration, zero issues to note. Presentation is perfect!
