The dress is done in a medium to heavy weight ivory cotton (blend) woven fabric that features an intricate, geometric black machine embroidered check throughout. The skirt is fully lined in interfacing to add structure with a separate black acetate liner as well for comfort.

The dress has a classic New Look silhouette with a beautifully tailored bodice, nipped waist and a full skirt with a massive sweep. The structure of the skirt provides for the uniform, architectural pleating you see.
