50s Beehives Bees Novelty Print Cotton Sundress Xs-s$175.00
This might be my favorite 1950s novelty print dress ever! Busy, buzzing bees and their beehives really pop in bright orange-red and black, against the white background. The sleeveless bodice has wide straps, a square neckline, and vertical bust darts. Clear plastic and rhinestone, functional flower buttons fasten the center front. A narrow band of piping trims the fitted waist seam. Below, the extra full skirt flares outward to a 136” sweep at the hem (shown here with a crinoline underneath, which is not included). The dress fastens with a metal zipper at the side seam. The lightweight cotton is unlined, so you may want a slip underneath. This darling 1950s novelty print sundress is in very good to excellent condition. The dress itself has no issues, but the matching fabric belt has yellowed with age. Of course, a plain red/orange or black belt would look great with it, too!
