Beautiful flat black fur felt high rise drum hat. Slightly asymmetrical with a 5 1/4 inch front rise, 4 1/2 on each side and back. Crown is indented but not seamed so it can be pushed out a bit more. Interior is finished with the standard petersham ribbon. Fabric is a luxurious soft fur felt made in italy.

Label is Alfreda Inc. with a store label of B. Forman Sons. B. Forman Co. was a retail store specializing primarily in hign-end women's clothing. Once the largest store of its kind between New York and Chicago, the company, founded by Benjamin Forman. The stores operated from 1911 until 1994.
