50s-60s Brown Wool Tweed Flecked Skirt Suit$62.00
This smart tweed two piece suit is sure to keep you warm and stylish! Classic late 50's/early 1960's look, with that boxy cut jacket and pencil skirt. Gorgeous flecks of red, yellow and orange make this suit compatible with so many other fall colors!
Beautiful tailoring, although there are no tags inside the garment. It could be handmade, or the tags could have been removed.
Jacket is fully lined, and has two small front pockets with a button detail. Front button closure.
Skirt is not lined. Side zip closure (Plastic zipper), with button. Kick pleat in back of skirt.
Note: The skirt looks like it may have been taken in at some point. Besides the missing lining, there is a LOT of extra fabric on the inside side seams. So if you needed to take it out a little, you will have room to play with it.
This suit is in great condition, however there are a few flaws:
Bottom front of the jacket has a dark, hard stain (I did not try to remove the stain), and a couple small holes. Where it is located on the jacket, it's really not noticeable. The stain and hole is mostly hidden behind the flap, once you button up the jacket.
There are a few small holes (see photos). A few on the right sleeve, two are no larger than 1/4" in diameter. The largest hole on the sleeve is about 1/2" across.
The tweed makes them kind of hard to spot, which is great! You could easily just throw a couple stitches to repair, if needed.
The lining is in great condition - no major holes or stains.
This suit is , and has no stretch. Not 100% sure of the fabric, but feels like a wool tweed, and lining is probably polyester.
