50s/60s Blue Tones Bouclé Wool High Waist Pencil Skirt$30.00
Still mad for Mad Men fashion? Imagine yourself as Joan or Peggy in this boucle wool pencil skirt...
This vintage skirt is most likely from the mid-to-late 1950's, up to early 1960's. It is made of a winter-ready heavyweight wool boucle (has little loops or tufts in the weave, giving it a special texture) in deep teal blue color, with indigo windowpane pattern, and brighter blue boucle loops -which gives it an amazing triple tone look. The skirt silhouette is pencil style, or very straight, reaching from high waist to knee length (no vent or kick pleat present!). There is a metal zipper at left side waist, as well as funky silver button for closure. The back side of the skirt has a lightweight acetate lining in aubergine, but this has torn and reaches only about half-length down (but enough to cover your bum) -this and light overall wear are the only flaws. No labels or maker's marks present.
Measurements:
- 28 inch waist
- 38 inch hips
- 25.5 inches total length from waist to hem
