1950s Black Cocktail Dress with Matching Jacket - 1950s Cocktail Suit - 1950s LBD - Vintage Black Cocktail Dress - 50s Dress | Size Small

Gorgeous mid to late 1950s construction from the Neiman Marcus label. The dress is done in a medium weight bold black silk, fully lined, with vertical black chiffon ruched detailing at the bust and horizontal ruching at the waist. The bodice features scalloped sweetheart "cups" trimmed around the chiffon with the solid silk. The dress is the quintessential little black cocktail dress with medium width straps and a rear central zip closure and hooks and eyes. The jacket has glove length sleeves, a cropped fit and a nipped waist. The jacket has a dramatic shawl collar with a unique square geometric lapel design with two large matching covered buttons at the waist.

Condition for the set is listed as good plus, the dress is flawless, with only a few minor notations to the jacket. There is a surface tatter at the front right lapel, approximately the size of nickel (zoom on photo) and a few small peck tatters at the back of the collar. Due to the bold black of the fabric these notations are generally unseen without up close inspection however noted for full disclosure. You will find these notations reflected in the price. I find no other issues to note, the set has been freshly dry cleaned and is ready to wear.
