This is a RARE WILARDY Handbag that is shaped more like a Kelly Bag. It has one handle and a Metal Floral Bar for Closure. The Flowers are done in a Silver Tone and the background is white. The Flower Centers are Aurora Borealis Rhinestones which have a Gorgeous Iridescent Shine! The inside is lovely done in black moire taffeta and it has a rectangular mirror. Inside you will find a Cute Little Chain Purse that is really Rare with these Purses. This handbag is a Book Piece and is featured in Black in Janice Berkson's book "Carry Me! 1950's Lucite Handbags an American Fashion" on page 129. She attributes this handbag to 1958 (see the 7th photograph). Near MINT Condition - This Beautiful Wilardy is qualified as Near MINT Condition. All of the Aurora Borealis stones are present. There is some slight clouding on the back and the bottom. Depending on what direction the light is it may or may not show. The inside is Perfect. It looks like it has been rarely used. This particular handbag does not have the Wilardy name on it, but I have never seen this style Handbag that was not made by Wilardy.
