This is the epitome of what I envision when I think of the classic 50's skirt suit - but, this one comes with some dynamic details! Featuring a medium weight corded weave fabric, somewhat like Bengaline, in shiny silvery-white and black, this suit comes with self-fabric covered (and rhinestone encircled) buttons, plus skinny style fabric-covered matching belt. This set has so many classic 1950's design details; shawl style collar, 3/4 length sleeves with peaked cuffs, prominent, pointed peplum (very early 50's) and pencil skirt. Suit is completely unlined and, unfortunately, I cannot pull a fiber sample to test -so, my best guess is this is silk or rayon due to the nice sheen. No labels present either. Jacket has hidden hook + eye closure at waist and light shoulder padding. Skirt features side metal zipper closure, plus hook + eye at waist. Overall condition is excellent with one repair to a hole in the skirt (see last photo, also, please note the fiber irregularity in fabric weave near it) and a tiny pin hole/fray to fabric at the top jacket button.
