I love these pretty feminine blouses that were so popular in the late 1940s into the 1950s. This one has especially nice details. This has cap sleeves, with a simple faux cuff at the armhole. The bodice is softly shaped at the waist with vertical darting. The vertical center trim is a pseudo-striped combination of pleated opaque fabric and delicate see-through lace. The round neckline has coordinating trim, except this time the opaque fabric is banded and much narrower.
SIZE: No size label
Bust 37" (94 cm)
Waist 31" (78. 5 cm)
Length from shoulder seam 21. 5" (54. 5 cm)
FABRIC/COLORS: Pale yellow batiste, light as air and semisheer. I could not find a place to safely snip a bit of fabric for a fiber burn test - I think it is most likely all cotton. The trim uses delicate white lace and trim sections of crisp medium weight twill weave fabric that is also light yellow.
TAGS: Weber Original
CLOSURES: The blouse closes with 5 clear plastic faceted buttons down the back.
CONDITION: No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted. Other than the fraying of the maker's label, it shows no signs of previous wearing or washing.
