50’s Skirt Suit in Pink and Black Woven Houndstooth Wool With Faux Fur Collar and Cuffs$165.00
Gorgeous pink and black woven textured hounds tooth wool skirt suit by Prooth. Circa late 1950s to early 1960s.
The jacket features a slightly boxy cut with front and back princess seaming and bracelet length sleeves.
Black faux fur collar and sleeve cuffs which are as soft as velvet.
Does up the center front with three 1-3/4" diameter brass tone embossed metal buttons with bound buttonholes (a sign of a quality suit).
Small shoulder pads for shaping - these are in between the jacket lining and outer wool layer.
No vents.
Matching pencil skirt features vertical hip darts and a 1-1/4" wide self fabric waistband. Fastens with a left side 6-1/4" long metal zipper and two hook and eyes.
Both the jacket and the skirt are lined with black satin, probably acetate.

CONDITION: Excellent - There are no stains, rips, holes, snags, odors, fading, thin or worn areas, or discoloration.
SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Medium.
