50’s Black and White Wool Tweed Skirt Suit With Red Satin Lining$125.00
Gorgeous black and white (accented with red) wool tweed skirt suit. Circa late 1950s to early 1960s.
The jacket features front vertical darts and diagonal bust darts for a flattering fit.
Does up the center front with three 1-1/4" diameter self covered domed buttons with bound buttonholes (a sign of a quality suit).
Bracelet length sleeves with turn back cuffs accented with a single non-functional self covered button and red satin backing (to the cuffs).
Notched collar and decorative non-functional front pocket flaps with red satin backing.
The jacket and sleeves are lined with luxurious red satin as pictured.
Matching pencil skirt features a 1" wide self fabric waistband. Fastens with a left side 7" metal zipper and two metal hooks and bars. There is also a non-functional decorative self covered button on the waistband.
Lined with the same red satin as the jacket.
The skirt comes to my upper calf - it may be shorter or longer on you depending on your height.
DESIGNER LABEL: None - this is handmade by a skilled seamstress or tailor.
CONDITION: Excellent - There are no stains, rips, holes, snags, odors, fading, thin or worn areas, or discoloration.
SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Medium.

Inner Sleeves: 15" - underarm seam to sleeve end
