When I originally found this dress there were color transfer stains in black throughout. It had been repaired/altered at some point, but needed TLC. I washed the dress to lift the color transfer stains, replaced the boning in the bodice w/lightweight flat steel w/dipped tips, repaired/stabilized the two section at underarms, and lastly, finished the top edge of the bodice in black velvet to cover & stabilize the weakened & worn fabric there. Also comes w/a matching silk fabric wrap

The entire gown, all layers, consists of silk fabrics. The base skirt is a lightweight ivory fabric. Next we have a sheer, stiff silk organza, which is topped w/a softer sheer silk fabric. This jungle leaf style print has been hand printed, w/the edges of the flora shapes within the print top-stitched w/a silk/rayon bias trim in black. The strapless bodice is lightly structured, w/seven pieces of thin boning (flat stainless steel w/double dipped tips) & the flora pieces sort of drip off. The top of bodice is trimmed w/black bias velvet ribbon & there is a nylon zipper & hook & eye closure at left side. No labels or maker's marks. The condition is excellent w/these issues; some repairs to bodice at either side of underarms, added black velvet trim, 1 rust color stain hidden at inner folds of skirt, & some clear glue near hem of skirt
