This tea-length strapless 1950s party dress in leaf-patterned, flocked black nylon organza is lined with pale pink rayon taffeta, creating a soft wash of pink undertone to the semi-sheer black outer layer. The shelf bust-style, strapless bodice features a section of pleated pink tulle at the top, with scalloped black organza below, trimmed with a black velvet ribbon and center bow. The full-skirted dress is shown here with an additional, fluffy crinoline underneath, but it does have its own attached under-layer of ruffled pink tulle, over the inner lining of pink taffeta (so 3 layers in total, to skirt). A metal zipper fastens the left side seam. This ultra-feminine 1950s party dress is in good, sturdy and wearable condition, with these issues: some yellowing to the pink tulle and taffeta lining at the underarms and underside of bodice—most visible when turned inside out (see our photos), 2 spots and some much lighter yellowing on the front of the pink taffeta lining (not likely to be seen when worn) and some areas to the flocked black leafy design that are worn away/lighter, at the underarms and just below the waist seam (see photos).
