Silvertone metal weave box handbag from the 1950's. Body is the metal weave with a black plastic flat lid and matching handle. Interior is lined with a pink satin fabric.

Closes in the front with a drop clasp and S hook.

Angular in shape with the wider upper body, more narrow at the bottom. Top measures 8 3/4 high x 6 3/4 inches, bottom measures 7 x 4 1/4 inches.

Label is Dorset Rex.

As for the condition there are some issues. The outside metal bands are in excellent condition. There is some residue on the black plastic lid. The inside shows a good deal of wear and soiling.
