This 1950s sweater in black wool and gold metallic lurex threads is ready for your next cocktail party, evening out, or holiday gathering! The openwork knit has subtle diamond-shaped designs throughout, and a more see-through, wider-weave design trimming the scoop neckline. Ribbed trim finishes the cap sleeves and wide waistband. The lightweight wool blend should be comfortable in all but the warmest weather. Due to the stretchiness of the knit, we have provided a sizing range: choose the smaller end of the range for a looser fit, or the larger end for a tighter, 1950s “sweater girl” fit. Its only fastening is a small gold button at the back of the neck. In very good condition, this sexy 1950s evening sweater is somewhat faded under the arms, which is more visible in our photos than it is in person—we have lightened the close-up photo a bit to show it more clearly. We have carefully hand-washed the sweater, and there is no odor, or any other issue to note. Pair this versatile and sparkly sweater with a high-waisted velvet cigarette pant, a classic 1950s pencil or circle skirt, or with jeans, for a more modern style!
