50’s Red and White Gingham Square Cotton Dress$88.00
ITEM DESCRIPTION: Cowgirl picnic anyone? This beauty is a dream come true. Soft cotton with double layer skirt for that extra floof for spinning around! Has back zipper and a hook at the waist for a nicely snug fit. No labels or tags on this so I think it's home made and was likely tailored to fit a specific person, so please pay close attention to the measurements below.
NOTED FLAWS: Has normal wear for its age (some seams are slightly loose but all are in tact) and it's overall in great shape, no holes or stains or weird smell. It looks as though the waist may have been taken in a second time- and that could easily be undone if you need a bit of wiggle room.
MEASURMENTS:
Vintage sizing can tricky as the size listed on the tag of a vintage garment does not always reflect the actual size by today’s standards, so it is very important to measure, measure, measure! CHECK THE MEASUREMENTS LISTED BELOW against a similar item you own that fits you nicely. I recommend using a soft measuring tape and laying the garment flat on the floor. To measure the waist and hips with the garment laying flat, measure straight across the waistline/hipline and then multiply by 2 to get the around-the-waist/hip measurements.
