This darling gingham shirt dress is stylish and practical. The pink and white colors are still vibrant! The fabric is in excellent shape! The tag reads "Made in USA" and "Never Needs Ironing"! What more could you want? This just seems like a classic summer dress and so darling! When I read research on shirt dresses, the pockets were added to hold things like recipe cards and clothes pins. Nowadays, maybe cellphones!

The dress came from my elderly neighbor who saved most of her clothes from the 1950s onward. The buttons are a cute pink and the fabric is 25% cotton and 75% Dacron which hit the clothing market in the early 1950s. The dress is a women's small.

It can be worn with or without a belted waist. I just used a ribbon for this dress and will include it, but a better belt maybe wanted.
