Item description: 1950s peach organdy cocktail dress. This dress is very well constructed and gives off the impression of a "new look" by Dior. Scoop neckline and short cap sleeves. Bodice has perfect diagonal pleating. Bubble skirt with dramatic draping on the hem that gives the dress a tulip look. gores on the back along with a gore centered sash that snaps into place. The hem of the dress has a horse hair edge to add stiffness so it lays flat. Built in crinoline to add fullness. Lined in taffeta with a back matching painted metal zipper. Dress is in excellent vintage condition. All organdy is still in great condition witch is rare on these vintage dresses. Shown with an extra petticoat to add fullness. Zipper is working perfectly my dress form is too big for this dress so it was photographed half Unzipped.
