Some History of Patricia of Miami Handbags: In 1953 Morty Edelstein, formerly of Llewllyn, purchased Bag by Benne and opened up a new firm, Miami Handbag Mfg. Inc. (not the same as the firm "Florida Handbags"). They made unbreakable handbags under the trademark of, Patricia of Miami, which was named for Mrs. Edelstine. They were known for their curlycue clasp as you can see in this particular handbag.

NEAR MINT CONDITION - This handbag is lovely. There are a few items to mention just to be completely clear. The lid closes very tightly; but the latch does not completely catch, not a concern because it is not going to come open. Patricia of Miami used stick on labels and this one has a partial label for you to know who made it. Inside the hinge there is some discolor. There is one spot on the gorgeous lid you can see in photograph #8; slightly rough on the side, but smooth on the top. It looks large in the photograph, but is very unnoticeable when you use the handbag. Due to these minor items the price is reflective of being near mint, rather than mint condition.
Layaway - We do offer layaway for any item $100 or over. Please see the SunshineKittyVintage page for specifics.
