This is a beautiful 50s hand beaded and sequined angora blend cardigan sweater by Macy's.

Beautiful off white angora/lambs wool blend sweater is embellished with lovely 3-D iridescent white sequins, faux pearls and white beadwork around the neckline and down both sides of the front as pictured.

This sweater is very soft and not itchy or scratchy at all.

The body of the sweater is lined with soft white silk.

The wrist length sleeves are unlined.

Ribbed bottom, sleeve cuffs and collar as pictured.

Does up the center front (from top to bottom) with hidden metal hook and eyes.

Both sides of the front interior are backed with off white grosgrain ribbon for stability.

This sweater is "full-fashioned" meaning it was knit into shape, rather than being cut and sewn from a flat piece of knit fabric.

DESIGNER LABEL: Macy's International / Made in Hong Kong

SIZING: Tagged a vintage size 42. However, as size designations have changed over the years and based on he measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Large.

MEASUREMENTS:

Shoulders: 14-1/2"

Outer Sleeves: 20-1/2" (includes 1-5/8" ribbed cuff) - Shoulder Seam to Sleeve End

Inner Sleeves: 16" underarm to sleeve end

Bust: 40"

Waist: 38"

Bottom: 32"

Length: 22" - Center Back to Sweater Bottom (includes 1-5/8 ribbed cuff)

CONDITION: Excellent - no fading, discoloration, holes, rips, stains, snags, odors, broken beads/sequins, or other issues.

The knit is very strong and not thin or stressed.

Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

The only thing is two pencil thin marks on the inside right front lining - one line is 1-1/4" long and the other is 5/8" long. Shown in the last photo above. These marks do not show through to the outside of the sweater and do not detract at all.
