50’s Nordic Wool Sweater Handknit Setesdal$60.00
This circa 1950s hand-knit wool sweater has a traditional Norwegian Setesdal design in ivory and black, At the split-front neckline, a colorfully-embroidered black wool felt yoke is secured with silver metal clasps. The pullover sweater features the classic knitting patterns originating in the Setesdal valley, located in central/southern Norway. Ribbed knit trim edges the hem and sleeve cuffs. The extra warm and cozy, chunky wool is unlined. It is in very good condition, with a few dropped stiches in the hand-knit pattern, and one tiny mend at the lower front (close-up photo). We see this circa 1950s, authentic vintage, Scandinavian wool sweater as unisex, but it does have a relatively short sleeve measurement. This is possibly the result of what looks like a dropped shoulder seam design, please check the measurements for more size details.
