This late 1950s or early 1960s Schiaparelli rhinestone parure is simply spectacular! The signed, authentic vintage Schiaparelli necklace, clamper bracelet and clip-on earrings are set with black and smoky aqua aurora borealis rhinestones set in bright silver metal. The black rhinestones have a more traditional, oval faceted top, while the large, iridescent stones have an unusual flat top, with scalloped sides. Smaller iridescent rhinestones accent the metal settings, which are shaped like tiny leaves. The rhodium-plated, extra shiny metal settings are quite heavy and solid, as you might expect from such a high-end costume jewelry set. The clamper style bracelet has a hinge at the back and is widest at the front, with rounded ends. The clip-on earrings are designed to go upwards on the ear when worn, and are quite large. The necklace fastens with a hook and tail closure, which can be used to adjust its length, slightly. All four pieces of this Schiaparelli rhinestone set are signed and all are in excellent condition. This fabulous jewelry set by a great 20th century designer label is a great piece for a collector, but it will also be fun to wear!
