Features:

- Satin striped lining in red, pink, beige and black

- Pinwheel cord insert on wide shawl collar (very Edwardian feel with pinwheels)

Closure: open front - no closure but does have inner button tab that may have had a button at some point just to keep it closed

Material: wool, satin is possibly rayon or other synthetic

Decade: Mid 1950s through early 1960s

Condition: wearable as is - good - this coat was definitely worn as pile is threadbare especially on sleeves and cuff. Inner lining on one sleeve cuff torn (last image), old repairs to both underarms on lining and outer coat. Looks like a period tiny patch added to inner underarm to repair small tear when I pulled up lining to see the repairs. Pinwheels have some loose spots where they are sewn to each other. Small spots on bottom lower lining. Still lots of life left and presents beautifully in person.
