This true vintage 1950s letterman’s sweater in heavy ivory wool has contrasting stripes in red and grey on the left arm and both sleeve cuffs. The v-neck style cardigan fastens with 6 ivory plastic buttons. A “SV” letters and a felt patch let us know that this varsity cardigan sweater originally belonged to “Jer”, who lettered in soccer and was on the Student Council. This 1950s cardigan is in excellent condition with no issues other than a tiny mend near the front hem see close-up photo). Although originally a men’s style the cardigan is certainly unisex, and will fit approximately a modern men’s size M to L, or chest/bust size 38-42 inches.
