50s (or late 40s) pencil dress from Tall Gems by Mattie Dress. No fabric content tag, but it is possibly acetate in a dark gray with the cutest novelty print: red keys and light beige key rings and keyholes. Sweet Peter Pan collar at the neck. Bodice is fitted with contour darts from the waist and there is a pleat alongside the bust. Dress has thin shoulder pads for structure and short set in sleeves with a fold back cuffs. There is a seam at the waist and a very narrow wiggle style skirt attached with a couple pleats over the hip that disappear into hip pockets! String belt loops at the sides and dress comes with its original light beige cloth belt! (26" -27.5" length) Long mid calf skirt has an 8" kick pleat at the hem in back and a 23" metal zipper. There are two flea bites on the edge of the flap that covers the zipper below the waist, see yellow circles in last photo. Beyond that it's in excellent condition, no stains, no smells and must not have been worn much. You will have the keys to mid century charm in this long and slim 50s wiggle dress!
