Denise Francelle opened her shop on the rue de Rivoli in 1938, specializing in gloves, purses, and scarves. A favorite of Fashion Week attendees and stars including Rita Hayworth and Grace Kelly, the shop served the fashion industry and dedicated customers for many decades before closing in fall 2011.
This handbag from the 1950s features pearlescent white seed beads in a floral pattern and sturdy gold-colored hardware. Lined in satiny white fabric with an interior pocket.

Condition
Very good vintage condition. I do wonder if there may be some discoloration of the fabric behind the beadwork because it seems a bit darker in some places than in others. There's one small red smudge (looks like lipstick) on the lining.
