1950's Deadstock Stretchbra by Warner's.
If you know 50's bras, you know Warners, most likely for their Merry Widows, (worn by Marilyn Monroe!). While this isn't a Merry Widow, it's still a great, less dramatic, 1950's bra for easier wear.
Labels: Original paper Warner's tag, as well as cloth label.
Material: Cup - All Nylon Elastic- Nylon, Lycra, Spandex.
Flaws: Slight fray to clasp on eye side, overall slight brown/purple tone to mesh and elastic straps, doesn't detract, just not pitch black. Very wearable.
Size:
I will do my best to describe the size accurately, however vintage bras fit very differently from modern bras. Please compare the measurements given carefully.
Vintage size 3637A
Band: Sits 4-6" from under breast, so measure this area for fit.
Tightest clasp: 23" - 24"
Loosest clasp: 24 " - 29" max.
I wear a 32 band in modern bras and it fits.
Cup: Typical 1950's bullet shape, I would estiamte this is still an A cup or small B. 6.5" from side to side of cup.
6" from top to bottom.
Straps: 10" over shoulder, strap still has some stretch.
For comaprisson, I am a 32D or 32DD from most modern brands, this cup is too small for me and just right in the band & straps, (I have narrow, broad shoulders).
