STUNNING 1950s chocolate brown mouton (lamb) coat. Made by James H. Robinson.
Mouton fur feels like a teddy bear. It is easily mistaken for faux fur, but it has the warmth of real fur.
I adore the custom monogram on the inside lining of the original owner of this special coat -- touches like this make vintage pieces more special.

A brief word about vintage furs. I am completely against contemporary furs. Vintage furs were made and worn in a time when most people didn’t understand (or were blissfully ignorant to) the unethical practices of the fur industry. But since the deed is done, it seems wrong to not use these coats. The sacrifice shouldn’t be thrown away — it should be honored for many years.
