There's definitely something very special and chic about this bombshell wiggle dress...

It is definitely influenced by, if not a copy of, a designer piece circa mid 1950's (Kinda Givenchy-esque). The strapless bodice consists of styled folds and pleats that accentuate the bust, and the back is somewhat low-cut.The skirt is quite fitted, also known as a pencil skirt and the left hip features a decorative swath of extra fabric. The overall effect is almost as if the wearer is just draped in the lightweight, sheer black organza fabric. There are no labels or maker's marks to note. I have actually added (sewn-in) a lightly padded, push-up style brassiere -at the inner bodice- for added support and lift (this may be easily extracted). There is a lightweight acetate lining present and the center back features a metal zipper closure, along with three sets of hooks & eyes. Overall condition is excellent to very good, with a few repairs; the center back kick split has been repaired more than once, and there is a somewhat obvious patch repair (slightly off-black color) at right under arm area. There are also some small areas of weakened fabric. Please review photographs for full details.
