This is an incredibly well-designed and made dress that features the use of pleating throughout all of it's sections. Starting with the bodice, which is sleeveless, with vertical pleats running solidly throughout front and back. The jewel style neckline/collar and armscye (armholes) are edged in the same deep blue rayon fabric. The waistline consists of three horizontal pleats, which graduate into a skirt of wider pleats that finish in loose folds. The main dress body fabric is this medium weight blue rayon fabric with a gentle sheen. However the skirt is lined with a pinkish colored acetate fabric (with stronger sheen) that finish in a wide ruffle hem, that then peeks out from the blue skirt. Bodice is lined with a black net fabric, and the left side seam features an inset, metal zipper closure, as well as snap closures along the shoulder seam. There are no labels or maker's marks. Overall condition is good, with a black mark at back shoulder area, mild color fade to shoulder areas, as well as a break in the top structure of the metal zipper. Please note: because of the zipper being inset, it is still very functional, however some care must be used to not further damage the top zipper section. See photographs for full details.
