This 1950s cocktail dress in black velvet and sequins is perfect for your next holiday party or evening event! The fitted bodice, with tiny black crepe straps and piping at the scoop neckline, is totally covered in sparkly sequins, ready to provoke gasps of "oooh" and "wow" at your entrance. Below the piped waistband, trimmed with a cute little bow, the rayon velvet skirt is made in two sections: a flared peplum with stiffening at the hem to keep its shape, and a pencil skirt underneath. The underskirt has a top section of black taffeta, which hooks closed behind the peplum (underneath the zipper visible in the sequined bodice and peplum). This taffeta lining section has a mend in it, which will not be visible when the dress is worn, since it is completely hidden by the peplum. The bodice is also lined in black taffeta. The dress is in very good condition, its only issues the hidden mend in the lining and one missing sequin from the bodice.
