This shirt is an interesting blend of Guabera, Guatemalan weaving, and California Casual camp shirt! It has the classic camp shirt styling, with boxy fit and handwarmer patch pockets. The novelty/Guatemalan woven sections are artfully placed for high visual impact. All seams are flat felled
SIZE: No size label
Measurements
Chest - 41" (104 cm)
Shoulders - 18. 25" (46. 5 cm)
Length - 29" (73. 5 cm)
FABRIC/COLORS: The fabric is most likely handwoven - I believe it is cotton but don't have access to a fabric snip for fiber burn test. It uses black and white, which comes across as charcoal gray in the smoothly woven areas. There are extensive areas of patterned weaving, where the black fibers serve as background and the white fibers are more three dimensional.
TAGS: Plexico, Playcloth (sic) Made in Mexico, Hecho in Taxco
CLOSURES: Five unusual football shaped buttons - I believe they are plastic although they might be wooden - buttonholes are vertical
CONDITION: There is subtle sunfade across the shoulders that I cannot get to show up in a photo. No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
