This is a beautiful 50s hand beaded angora and wool blend cardigan sweater by Marchessa.

Beautiful black sweater is embellished with lovely iridescent translucent gold beadwork accented with 3-D faux pearl beaded flowers with dangling beads as pictured.

This angora blend sweater is very soft and not itchy or scratchy at all.

The body of the sweater is lined with soft black silk. The wrist length sleeves are unlined.

Ribbed bottom, sleeve cuffs and collar as pictured.

Does up the center front with eight black lucite round buttons.

Both sides of the front are backed with black grosgrain ribbon for stability.

This sweater is "full-fashioned" meaning it was knit into shape, rather than being cut and sewn from a flat piece of knit fabric.

DESIGNER LABEL: Marchessa International / Made in Hong Kong / 5% Angora / 10% Nylon / 85% Lambswool

SIZING: Tagged a vintage size 40. However, as size designations have changed over the years and based on he measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small.
