VINTAGE 50s COCKTAIL DRESS
Vintage 50s-60s dress made of high quality lightweight silk done in an expressionist floral print of red, black & green on a champagne background. Lovely light crispness to the fabric for structure. Fitted surplice bodice, pouf pencil skirt, fantastic sewn in front belt creating dynamic folds, rear kick pleat, and rear metal zipper closure. Soft silk organza lining. Absolutely gorgeous piece. Label info: Kasper of Arnold-Fox. Herbert Kasper studied fashion at Parsons, and couture in Paris with Jacques Fath, Christian Dior, and Marcel Rochas, after which he embarked on an illustrious career designing for several companies in New York.
