1950s 1960s sheath cocktail dress with fringed Swag. Portrait collar. black tan checks copper. VFG BUST 36

FEATURES:

Beautiful fabric is checked pattern in textured black and tan- but it almost has a copper tone to it.

Portrait collar / V neck.

Fitted bodice with wide waistband accented with fabric covered buttons.

Straight skirt with closed pleat in back.

Short sleeves are not lined and sheer but it isn't really noticeable.

Lovely swag accent with black fringe.

I did a fiber burn test- fabric burned, self extinguished and left lacy remnant so possibly silk but I couldn't determine by smell test.

No maker's tag attached, only size.

Back metal zipper. No hook/eye at collar.

well made with pinked seams, fully lined except sleeves.

CONDITION:

Over all beautiful condition. Minor surface wear to textured black check but nothing specifically to note. no tears, rips. No stains. Zipper works fine but over half way up it hesitates but I think with use it will be fine- teeth look fine.

Lining has pinked seam hem on skirt but it is sewn into hem so believe it was created this way.
