50’s 60’s Popover Cropped Sweater Figural Print Gray Black White
$19.20
$24.00
DETAILS: It was most likely part of an ensemble, and used as a "popover", offering an alternate way of wearing a coordinating dress or skirt. I can see it being added over a slim fitting solid color dress, or as an accent with a pair of black leggings or slim pants. The top is fitted to the body with vertical and diagonal darting in front with narrower vertical darts in back. Three-quarter length sleeves are batwing. The jewel neckline, sleeves, and bottom hem are finished with slightly glossy black braid. Three large flat black buttons accent the bottom - they are nonfunctional.
SIZE: No size label
Approximate bust - 36" (91. 5 cm)
Approximate shoulders - 15. 5" (39. 5 cm)
Bottom hem circumference - 33" (83. 75 cm)

FABRIC/COLORS: The fabric is a lightweight jersey knit, with a figural print done in black and gray against a white background. Based on a fiber burn test, it seems to be a cotton/acrylic blend. I machine washed this using gentle cycle, and it did well.
