1950’s or 1960’s Baar & Beards, Inc beaded collar necklace in gold, off-white & silver.
Faux collars were a thing once...for a long time, actually. This is just one example of what women would wear on top of a plain shirt to add class, sophistication, and style to it.
This was made to have the beads hang in the front, although I took the picture with it backwards. I think it looks pretty, either way. I also believe you don't even need a shirt under the collar as it would look good with a sleeveless dress or tank top.
I honestly don't know what material this collar is. I believe cotton or a blend due to the age and feel. The beads, being faux, are a little harder to determine. They are not glass or stone. This connects together with an eye and hook closure, very simply. All of the faux pearls look perfect and I don't see any missing. There is tarnishing and shine missing from several of the rhinestones, including the tiny flower beads at the end. I have priced according to these flaws and I believe that the easiest way to fix these issues is by replacing them. There is also staining on the back that isn't seen on the outside, and the brand tag is missing. I have taken a lot of pictures to be as accurate as possible. Please carefully examine them.
Measurements are approximate and I have attached pictures to show how it was measured.
Width 1 5/8"
Inside diameter 12-13"
