This is just a darling Valentine, showgirl costume from the 40s or 50s. The costume is homemade and well made. The costume is made of white cotton and on the bodice has a silver sparkling tulle net overlay. The neckline and straps are trimmed in a red and silver bricker-a-brack trim. There is a detachable silver tulle skirt that snap's to the waist of the skirt. The skirt is a skater-style skirt and has wonderful red, hot pink, and pastel pink organdy ruffles are sewn to the underside in a can-can style. The costume has a long metal zip up the back. For whatever reason, the overskirt fastens on the side. You could easily move the snaps if needed.
