Incredible 1940s gray wool suit jacket by Zelinka Matlick. Features 3 heart shaped abalone buttons up the front. All buttons are there. Designer label is Zelinka Matlick and sold at England Brothers in Berkshire. Wool with a rayon lining. Features bold padded shoulders, hip vents and notched round collar with arrow shaped flossing embroidery, and cuffed sleeves.

Measurements:

Bust~17” from underarm to underarm measured inside the jacket

Waist~about 27” across the waist from button hole to button stitching (it doesn’t lay perfectly flat)

Length~24. 5” measured down center back

Shoulder~16” across shoulders measured inside the jacket

Sleeves~15. 5” sleeve from underarm.

Condition: Very good condition. There is staining at the underarms of the lining and a pinhole near the lapel on the right side. Beautiful jacket with lots of life left.
