Vintage WWII Souvenir Parachute 1940s Dress.

At first I thought this slip was Edwardian as that is what I was told but nooooo. This is not the correct fabric for Edwardian, in that it is not cotton or wool or some natural fiber. Artificial silk was hugely popular during WWII, especially used for parachutes and to line uniforms for warmth. It was often the only fabric available and typically people got their hands on it as some sort of black market surplus. This item was most likely put together from fabrics of various eras. The soft cotton embroidered cami top looks similar to Edwardian era camisole.
