stunning and in amazing condition. It is super thick and soft. I noticed only normal shedding for this type of fur. The fur is healthy and the leather is very pliable. This coat was well cared for and probably cold-stored to be in this condition. The coat passes the "drop" test with flying colors. The liner is very nice and the only issue is the belt is almost split in half where it was seamed. If I can get to it I will. It is also a bit discolored at that point. It's in the back so not noticeable but needs to be sewn.
The sheen and color are not shown to their fullest amazement in these photos. I believe after research this is a beaver with a raccoon collar. The fur is super thick and soft with a lot of longer hairs throughout. Very very expensive fur. More valuable than any mink.
this has the cross over front and semi swing profile
The drape is beautiful
I am not a furrier and the claim of beaver is just an educated guess with a lot of attempted research. If you know more than me I am always eager to learn after 45 yrs in this business I am far from knowing everything
