This is an absolutely stunning 40s cream liquid satin (or crepe back satin) peignoir robe. It has the most wonderful balloon sleeves that fasten at the wrist with 3 lucite and rhinestone buttons. The robe is a wrap style with a deep V-ed neckline that is covered in 4-inch wide floral lace. The shoulders are smocked and the top of the sleeves are cut-out styled with more of the lovely lace inserted and the same lace is inserted at the back of the neck. The robe wraps at the waist with a hook and eye on the inside and a snap on the outside to keep it wrapped. There is also a matching satin sash that ties at the waist. The skirt of the robe is full and billows wonderfully. The robe does have a tag: William Marcus creations.

Condition:
The robe is in fantastic condition with only one small thing to note. The button I think are replacements but they are from around the same ear they are 40s/50s. they are stunning but one or two are a bit sung with the lope but do fasten with little effort. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
