Rare and amazing 40's sunhat beach hat by Dana Marte' who started making hats in Germany before moving to Paris France and eventually to NY. This is an early USA Hat from her. It's in actually very good condition for age with no noticeable breaks in the straw seen. There is some fade to the top blue bow and the ribbon that would tie under the chin is no longer there. There are also a few small dark spots but they are not overly distracting. I am a rural seller so I don't have options to take this to a millenary and have them replace the ribbon under the chin and probably can clean or at least fade the few dark spots. I am pretty sure someone who is a pro who works on hats can replace and clean for a fair price if you wish.
